Chris Rockhold, Rockhold Karate Instructor/Owner

Rockhold Karate Instructor/Owner, Chris Rockhold has been training in Tang Soo Do since 1993 and has attained O Dan (fifth-degree black belt) and Sa Bom Nim (사범, Master instructor) Certification in the World Dang Soo Do Union. Master Rockhold created Rockhold Karate, LLC. and started teaching private Korean Karate lessons out of his garage in 2007. A few years later, he started teaching Tang Soo Do classes at the Cedar Park Recreation Center and a local gym. In a bold move, during the fragile economic recovery of the country, he opened Rockhold Karate in Cedar Park.

Chris Rockhold's martial arts training began in Taekwondo in the 1980's; a few years later, he discovered Tang Soo Do and has been studying this martial art since. He also studies and teaches Kummooyeh (the way of the Korean Sword), Hapkido, Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, and Chi Na. Master Chris Rockhold has had the privilege of Combatives training with members of the U.S. Special Forces, U.S. Secret Service, and defensive tactics with several other law enforcement agencies. He enjoys many training opporunities with various martial arts instructors and master instructors from all over the world. He also competes and helps judge in local, regional, national, and international Tang Soo Do, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and open style tournaments.

Kummooyeh International State of Texas Representative

Appointed by the Kummooyeh International to be the representative in Texas. Helped start the Texas Kummooyeh Association in June 2015 for growing the way of the Korean Sword in Texas, helping Kummooyeh instructors to coordinate with each other for supporting and promoting sword martial art events in the great State of Texas. Chris Rockhold achieved a Dan rank (Black Belt) and Instructor Certification by the World Kummooyeh Federation.

USA Archery Coach Level 3

USA Archery Level III NTS Coach

Chris Rockhold became a certified USA Archery Level III Coach in January 2017. The course provided Coach Rockhold with a comprehensive training in the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete development, and events as well as qualifies him to teach the Level 1 and Level II Archery Instructor Certification Courses. After the Level II training in May of 2015, Chris Rockhold started the Archery for Homeschoolers Program at Rockhold Karate. The Rockhold Archery Club is growing and expanding to include long-term USA Archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) and Adult Archery Program, as well as the Explore Archery program.
